Japanese University Student Problem
Freedom
skip classes
especially classes in the morning
friends can write an attendance for me
come back late at home eg: part-time job, playing with friends until late at night
get up late
spends too much time on club activity
many students think, if they can get good score on tests, they don't have to go to classes
depending on the subject, test is easy because you can bring in the past exam 48.9%
don't study for the test
highschool
have to go to school
have to take classes (can't skip classes)
Almost all of the class had mini test every week
facts
66.8% study about their major subjects for 5 hours or less in a week
In contrast, 59.4% of American students study more than 11 hours
score isn't so important
These day companies turn their eyes on communication ability and part-time job experience
many young people don't have any dream
these young people can't find the meaning to study
they don't study
my opinion
can't believe myself that I have studied for more than 10 hours everyday when I was 3rd grade high-school student
only do homework and study before the test
