Math & ME
Seeking Help
I ask the teacher for help, only if i really need it.
-
-
I also go in the internet or watch a video about the topic or the question that I am doing, or to get a head start on the chapter we might be starting in class.
-
Homework
I try to always complete the extension booklet, I like doing the extension booklet because it is challenging and is different from the exercises in the textbook.
-
-
-
-
Problems
I look for similar question to do, in the textbooks or the internet.
-
If I am having trouble with a problem, I leave it for the time being and do it the next day or several hours later, this helps me clear my head and gives me time to think about what I was doing wrong.
I draw the question, or write it out clearer on a white board.
-
-
Checking Solutions
I only check the solutions if i get stuck on a question, and then work backwards.
-
-
Reflection
If I really like the work that we are doing in class then I do more complicated questions on it, for this, I use the year 10 Math textbook or go on websites like Khan Academy.
If I don't understand a topic that we are doing in class then I do more easier question on it and then do the ones on the work plan, also I write down what I need to ask the teacher the following lesson.

-
Revision
I go over the whole chapter and check if I know how to do most of the questions if I don't I try to do them and look for similar questions, either in the textbooks or the internet.
