What caused WWII?
(5)Appeasment
Appeasement is, in a short summary a "method" of "appeasing" the growing German military and prevent a war, by means of "trust", the appeasing was done by allowing Germany to grow its territory and military unchecked
British politicians thought didn't think that fascism was their
biggest problem, they thought that communism was a bigger problem.
Appeasement also made the Germans believe that the allies would never attack or stop them because of the appeasement system.
This in turn lead to a more aggressive Germany, which lead to the beginning of the war
Both Britain and France were very weak after world war 2 and lacked the money to re arm there empires
It was clear in March of 1939 that the appeasement had failed when Germany took control of Czechoslovakia.
The appeasement was very popular with the British people because they wanted to avoid the damage that another world war would cause.

(3)Japanese Expansion
Japan was an island nation incapable of achieving self-sufficiency due to its lack of natural resources.
-
Their invasion and expansion first started in 1931 where they invaded Manchuria, a city in the provinces of china.
Later, in 1937, they started their true brutal invasion in all of china and finally, in 1940, signed Tripartite Pact.
This pact was a pact between Japan, Germany, and Italy and was known as the Axis because of the three powers entering a military alliance after the pact
United States Imposed economic sanctions on Japan seeking the removal of Japanese troops who were in Manchuria and China.
After staying with the shortage of oil and other natural resources due to United State's economic sanction, caused them to have ambition to the removing the U.S. as the dominant power in the Pacific.
Japan then decided to attack United States and interrupt the Britch Air Force in Asia, and eventually obtain the resources in the southeast
Launched a surprise attack on U.S.A on the fleet in pearl harbor in Hawaii, December 7,1941 which severely damaged American fleet making them unable to, for at least a short-term, to interfere with the Japanese Military War
The invasion was a success, the Japanese managed to fend off American, British, Australian, Dutch and other forces easily. Japanese territory was huge, stretching from Manchuria to New Guinea.

After the Great Depression, Japan moved to a more fascist system.

(1)Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles was a peace document created at the end of World War 1. The British, French and Americans created this document, and even though Germany was the country most affected by it the German leader was not part of its making. The Treaty of Versailles had a significant effect on Germans and had numerous damaging effects on their country. As the German people suffered a lot as well as feeling humiliated, it was easy for Hitler to convince them to vote for him so the country could get their revenge.
The treaty made Germany pay a lot of money and Germany was not able to afford it. As a result the country became very poor. Hitler promised that he will ignore the treaty so people voted him. Hitler, after being elected as the leader of the country, started building army and weapons and ultimately, invaded Poland and started WW2.
The Treaty was signed at the end of WWI in June 28 1919 by, Germany and the Allied Nations including Britain, France, Italy and Russia. It lead to the beginning of the second world war because it made Germany pay the damages that they didn't have the money to pay and it humiliated them therefor it irritated the german and initiated the reasoning for the second world war.
A person represented each country during the creation of the Treaty. Britan was represented by their Prime Minister David Lloyd George, France by their Premier George Clemenceau and the US by their president Woodrow Wilson.
(2)The League of Nations
Since the league of nations failed to stop Japan invading Manchuria in 1931, and failed to stop Italy invading Ethiopia in 1935, Germany decided to test this out themselves and they remobilized Rhineland, and the German soldiers who were ordered by Hitler to march into Rhineland.
-
The league of nations caused WW2 because they failed to maintain the thing that they were meant to do "try and keep peace through conversation". As they were not able to keep the peace they gave a clear access to radical countries to start WW2
"The league of nations was an international organization set up in 1919 to help keep world peace" (history on the net) This was the first try at the U.N. all countries were supposed to participate in the league of nations because then nations would discuss instead of acting with force.
(6)The Great Depression
-
The great depression caused unemployment and poverty, which made democracies be more defensive and dictatorships more aggressive.
-
The great depression started after stock market crashed in october 1929. This wiped out millions of investors. The years to follow the spending and investments droped at a huge rate.
