Tourism (Geography)
There are different types of tourists locations and they differ based on places of scenic beauty, places with good facilities, places with rich cultures and places of conflicts.
Examples of places of scenic beauty are like the Himalayas in South Asia, Phuket in Thailand and the Grand Canyon in USA.
Places with good facilities are countries that hold events, meetings, conventions and incentives often.Singapore was the leading convention city in Asia-Pacific in from 2002 to 2012
Countries with rich culture does heritage tourism more often to allow tourists to experience different cultures and history of the place eg. Angkor Wat, Cambodia, Forbidden City in Beijing, China.
Places of conflicts does dark tourism where people travel to sites associated with death and tragedy. For example:
Military campaign eg. Củ Chi tunnels and Vịnh Mốc, Vietnam
Natural disasters e.g. Ruins of Pompeii, Italy
Terrorist attack e.g. Ground Zero in New York, USA
Human atrocity – Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall in Nanjing, China

It is the study of travel and tourism, as an industry and as a social and cultural activity.
Tourists are people travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for more than 24 hours but not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes.
Natural factors such as the types of landscapes, climate and the weather affect the nature of tourism, as well as human factors like the cost of travelling, effectiveness of marketing as well as the infrastructure of a country.
