The Stamp Act (1765)
The Stamp Act stated that a stamp would have to be put on printed materials like newspapers and legal documents. These stamps cost money and made it hard for newspaper companies. It also robbed everyday colonists from being able to send papers for a reasonable cost.

The Sugar Act (1764)
The Sugar act placed a tax on molases/sugar imported by the colonies. This angered the colonists because it was expensive.

Tea Act (1773)
The Tea Act said that the colonists could only buy and trade tea through the British East India Company. This made tea merchants from the colonies mad because they had been cut out of the tea trade.
