Interests
Skateboarding
Skateboarding is an exercise of risk taking, it's exhilarating, adventurous, and dangerous. It uses a simple tool that can be customized pretty easily and offers a lot of room to grow and a lot of exciting possibilities.
Politics
I love the show of politics, it's like my version of the pop culture that most people like to follow. It changes daily and it's fun to watch the sport of it all. It also matters substantially so it doesn't feel like a waste of time.
I also love the policy chunk of politics. Making changes to the way our government works and finding new and innovative solutions to problems is really interesting to me and feels better than just fighting within the system that boxes us in.
Podcasts
Podcasts are my television, I follow over 50 and have for the last year at least. I listen to them almost all the time and I regularly run out of podcasts before they come out the next week. I love learning new things and hearing familiar voices all the time helps keep me feeling connected to the world.
Audiobooks
Audio-books are the books that I read. I mostly read long nonfiction books, but I love most genres. I particularly enjoy non-fiction on race (Ex: The American Slave Coast), and fantasy or science fiction with deep and expansive worlds.
Design
Design is a beautiful thing to me, I love architecture, physical design (even the way clicking pens work is absolutely fascinating to me), furniture design, the design of spaces in the physical world, basically everything with any amount of curated choices is fascinating to me.
Making
Making things is a combination of a lot of things that I love, and it uses a lot of my skills really well. I love the exercise of trial and error that is having an idea and attempting to execute on it.
Games
I love games. When I was young, I enjoyed computer games and video games. When I was in school, games were an escape for me, they let me out of the bubble of mediocrity that I felt I lived in. I still love games. I focus on strategy, tactics, and things that make you think or challenge the mind.

School History
Pre-Highschool
Montessori Kindergarten
I attended a Montessori school for kindergarten. Mostly I just remember eating astronaut ice cream and being fascinated by it.
Elementary School
I attended two elementary schools. My formative memory about school is that I had so much trouble learning to read that instead of reading a Magic Tree-house book that the class was reading I just read the words at the end of the line and said I was done. It was pretty traumatic, but I learned to read for real by reading Harry Potter with my mom. During this period in my life I wanted to be an Inventor because I wanted to make amazing inventions and robots.
Middle School
Middle School was awful for me. I had no concept of why grades mattered and that made it really hard to focus on school work or learning. I remembered I enjoyed algebra, but pre-algebra math was a boring headache and most of this period is a blur for me.
Highschool"
High School was a big headache for me. I got better at learning for its own sake, but grades and assignments were a headache for me because I had to take ADD medications and was spiraling into depression during most of my high school career. My saving grace was that I had a good support system and I was able to get an IEP / 504 Plan that gave me extra test time and I did so good on tests that I made it through mostly alright.
College
I attended two standard Colleges. First I attended Western Oregon University (because I was accepted into my college of choice at the last second), and Portland Community College. During my history at Western, I failed out because of depression and anxiety. During PCC, I was unfocused and had trouble connecting with my peers because I had no community to get in sync with.
Wayfinding
I am now attending Wayfinding Academy, where I hope to pursue a career in Making or Design in any number of creative fields.
