Click on the cells you would like to include the formula
Type in the operator

Example formulas

=C3D2= It multiples the number in C3 and the number in D2
= SUM(E8:E15) = It finds the sum of the numbers in the cells range of E8 to E15
=A1+B2= It adds the numbers in A1 to B2
= AVERAGE(D1:D6) = It finds the average for the numbers in D1 to D16
