Chapter 2 section 1 and 2
Four states of matter
Solid
Do not move fast enough to overcome the attraction
Solid water, wood
Liquid
Move fast enough to overcome some the attraction
liquid water, juice
Gas
Move fast enough to overcome almost all the attraction
Oxigen, water vapor
Plasma
Move fast enough to end with the attraction
Fire, sun
Behaviour of gases
Pressure
The amount of force exerced on an area is called pressure. With more gas particles, more is the pressure.
Volume
Volume is the amount of space that an object takes up. The gas particles can be very compressed, that why they fit in a ballon.
Temperature
Depending on the temperature, particles will be moving faster or slower. If the temperature is high, the particles going to move faster and going to be stronger. If the temperature is cold the particles will be moving slower and less stronger.
