Here are some difficulty students find.
When you say nonfiction, it does not sound like not FACT.
This activity allows students to think and identify the difference between fiction and nonfiction books
- ELL students have a harder time processing spoken language.
- Instructions (even basic directions for classroom procedures) should be written on the board whenever possible.
- Modeling the steps of a process or showing students what a finished product should look like.
- Allowing students some use of their first languages.
Language Processing Disorder:
- Having extreme difficulty understanding what they hear and expressing what you want to say.
- Need to use visual and teacher models
- Teacher gives directions in small chunks.
- They allow extra time for processing and understanding information.
- Teacher asks the child to restate what he/she heard.
