Reducing the production of plastics will help protect the marine environment and maintain the ecological balance of the oceans.
Moore, C. (2015, March 15). How much plastic is in the ocean? You tell me! Marine Pollution Bulletin, 92(1-2), 1–3. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.marpolbul.2014.11.042
Result
A growing number of pioneering scientists, government agencies, non-profit organizations and individuals around the world are engaged in attempting to quantify and understand the consequences of the plague of plastic that contaminates our precious ocean
Solution
-
A good way to purify the marine environment is to collect pellets, and has recovered thousands of pellets from 80 groups and individuals representing 50 countries.

This article is consistent with the views expressed by my other resources that support the idea of reducing plastics is important to protect the marine environment. But it is different from other resources because it pays more attention to understanding the specific components of these marine plastics and wants to solve this problem completely by generating plastic products that are more easily degradable
Marsh, J. (2018, June 08). Our children's plastic lives seen through lunches. Retrieved October 21, 2018, from
https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/07/world/plastic-in-schools-world-oceans-day/index.html
In this source, the author proposes plastics seriously affect the environment of the ocean, and even affect people who depend on the ocean for their livelihood.

Solution

Starting from the school to implement the action of reducing plastics, improve students' awareness of reducing plastics

This article, along with my other resources, supports my view that reducing plastics can protect the marine ecosystem. But it is another way to figure out how to solve this problem, that is, to reduce the tableware used by students. This article proposes a method of reducing plastics that is currently used in various countries, so I can use this as a supplement to the solution proposed in my research report.
Mcadam, R. (2017,October 12). Plastic in the ocean: How much is out there? Significance, 14(5), 24–27. https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1740-9713.2017.01072.x
In this article, Mcadam uses statistical methods to predict where waste may eventually arrive, further exploring the severity of marine plastics and the threat posed by plastic pollution to habitats and ecosystems
Problem
Plastic waste in the ocean flows in a wide range, causing deaths of many marine life.
Solution
Existing efforts include plastic bag charges, improved recycling schemes, and ocean clean‐up projects.

This article, like my other resources, is about how to solve marine plastic waste, but the biggest difference is that it is more analytical from the data side and has more persuasive power. This article can provide data support for my article to make it more logical. And I can use it to compare with the model what I built, and get a better conclusion.
