Renewable energys
Solar energy
Advantages
Solar power is pollution free and causes no greenhouse gases to be emitted after installation. Renewable clean power that is available every day of the year, even cloudy days produce some power
Disadvantages
High initial costs for material and installation and long ROI. Needs lots of space as efficiency is not 100% yet.

Thermal
Advantages
Coal thermal power plant provide the cheapest electricity worldwide. They form the backbone of grid as they provide stable output and are more reliable than renewable sources that tend to fluctuate.
Disadvantages
It is the prime contributor to CO2 emissions all over the world. Nearly 20% to 30% of coal is rejected as Ash, which is a waste and needs to be dumped
-
Eolic energy
Advantages
It does not pollute, is inexhaustible, does not emit toxic substances, and it reduces the use of fossil fuels
Disadvantages
Constructing turbines and wind facilities is extremely expensive. Wind turbines may be dangerous to flying animals. Some wind turbines tend to generate a lot of noise which can be unpleasant
-
Sea water energy
Advantages
It is easily predictable and can be used to calculate the amount that it can produce. It is safe, clean and one of the preferred method to extract energy from ocean.
Disadvantages
Effect on marine Ecosystem. Source of Disturbance for Private and Commercial Vessels
-
Biomass energy
Advantage
It is a natural part of the carbon cycle. It’s cheaper compared to fossil fuels.
Disadvantages
Not entirely clean. Risk of deforestation. Inefficient as Compared to Fossil Fuels.
