Covalent Bonding
Covelant Bonds can occur if the atoms involved are the same, or different
Examples: Cl2, CO, H2O, C2H5OH
In a covalent bonding, two atoms share electrons, each completing each others full outer shell. The nuclei are then attracted electrostatically the the shared electrons, balanced with the repulsion from two positively charged nuclei

Not soluble in water
The polar water molecules are more attracted to each other than the molecular substance so generally leave it alone
