Veterinarians who don't believe they are over-vaccinating
Head Honchos: American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)
Opinion: Many are confused as to what to believe because there are so many pieces of evidence on both sides.
Loss: They could be untrustworthy of the veterinarians and medical field. They could also loose their pets if the issue is not solved
Relationship: They are the clients. They have the power to decide if they are willing to have their pets vaccinated or not.
Bias: They want what is best for their pet, so their opinion will be based on what they believe will give their pet the longest lives.
Gain: They could potentially save their pets lives if the vaccinations are properly administered. They would create healthy lives for their pets
Veterinarians who believe they are over-vaccinating
Relationship: These are the people who created the controversy. They are also those who want change in the field of vaccinations.
Opinion: They believe that, them included, have been forced to over-administer vaccines to pets. Some believe the type of pet should change the type of vaccination or the size of the pet.
Gain: They could gain the respect from the medical and social community. They could provide insight to a new way of medical thinking
Loss: They could loose their jobs if they continue to go against the rules of their companies or organizations such as AVMA or AAHA
Bias: They could loose their jobs, so they will do whatever it takes to keep it.
Gain: They need to gain respect and have the reliability that they need to keep
Opinion: They are open to change. They have to keep revisiting their guidelines with the debates that go on. Have to remain bias to provide for the best medical care.
Lose: They could loose respect if it turns out that they have been over-vaccinating pets.
Relationship: They potentially decide the outcome of the debate, they decide the dosage of the vaccines. They have the final 'legal' decision
Bias: Have to remain unbiased and decide the best case for pets.
Gain: They could gain more clients and, thus, more money if proven correct.
Lose: Could loose clients if their methods are proven to be killing animals in the long run. Could loose respect as well in the medical field.
Opinion: They believe in the current medical processes and use many previous research to prove this.
Bias: They care about losing their job, so they may do whatever it takes to not loose job.
Relationship: They are on the other side of the controversy, they are trying to prove the current situation is the best
