Introduction
- Tawhid is the basis of the religion of Islam
- It is a conviction and witnessing the most precisely expressed in the statement
- LA ILAHA ILLALLAH (There is no god but Allah)
- It states that there is only one true God and He alone deserved to be worshipped

What is Tawhid?
- derived from Arabic verb (wahhada) meaning "to unite, unify or consolidate)"
- thus tawhid means unification
- Realizing and maintaning the oneness of Allah
- The belief that Allah is one, without His partner in His dominion and His actions (rububiyyah), One without similitude in His essence and attributes (asma' wal-sifaat), One without rival in His divinity and in worship (uluhiyyah/ibadah)
- any omission to above mentioned is referred as shirk (the association of partners with Allah)
