Research Methods (Descriptive Method- measures or records behaviors, feelings or thoughts in a innate situation. This method records behaviors without changing them in anyway. Advantages- Allows researchers a way to explore questions that could not be examined with experimental procedures. Disadvantages- Investigators can't control events to isolate cause and effect. , Experimental Method- Manipulating one variable to determine if changes in one variable cause changes in another variable.
Advantages- Researcher can have control over variables as well as humans perform experiments anyway.
Disadvantages- Can produce artificial results as well as results may only apply to one situation and may be difficult to replicate, For Experimental and Descriptive Method Hypothesis- An explanation made as a starting point for further investigation.)
