The purpose of the oven is for cooking or baking. The first was built in Alsace,France. The first coal oven by Jordan Mott in 1833.The James Sharp has the patent for inventing the first gas oven in 1826. The first patent for the electric oven was issued to Thomas Hadaway in 1896. In 1966 there oven only had one door and was very tiny. Now they have two doors and both are fairly big.
