Newspapers were used to describe the battles of the American Revolution, such as the Battles of Lexington and Concord. However, very few newspapers were used.
On the night of July 5-6, Major General Arthur St. Clair and his army abanded Fort Ticonderoga and Mount Independence , as well as all the gun powder and ammunition. This retreat and left behind weapons left a major impact in the Revolutionary War.
The Battle of Yorktown was a devasting one for the British. It was the last battle of the Revolutionary War, which helped the Americans seal the war. It was in the October of 1781.
The Articles of Confederation for the American government was a document stating the rights of the colonies, and that they should unite as one, but the delegates couldn't agree on this, as much as they didn't on anything in the First Continental Congress.
The American colonists had no representatives in the British government and King George the Third put unfair taxes on the colonists, which compelled them to dump British tea into the sea and say, "No taxation without representation!"
The British laws were so harsh that a group named the Sons of Liberty met secretly and posted broadsides on trees and buildings to tell the colonists on how cruel the British laws were.
During the American Revolution, the British taxes on the American colonists increased Britain's economy, while America's economy dropped poorly.
