It is said to be cursed by witches because of the use of real spells in the play., “Macbeth” or “The Tragedy of Macbeth,” written by William Shakespeare, is the story of Macbeth, the general of the army of the English King of Scotland Duncan. After seeing three witches, Banquo tells Macbeth he will be king. He kills many people to try to receive the throne. On the throne he kills even more, but in the end is taken down by Macduff. , The story of Macbeth is based mostly on a true story. The ghosts and witches, however were not. There really was a Macbeth, and there really was a Duncan, and there really was a murder. Duncan was killed and Macbeth inherits the throne.
17 years later, he was killed by Malcom. In the play, Macbeth kills to get the throne, but in reality he kills to get the throne, and has a family relation to Duncan, so Shakespeare changed the story to add drama and suspense. and Works Cited
