"Cruelty free" and "Not tested on Animals" might not be actually true. Companies can put these labels on their product if their final product was not tested on animals, but if they got ingredients from a manufacturer that tested on animals they can still use the label. ,
Chapter 11 of "Not Just a Pretty Face" has really heightened my interest in sustainability and conservation. I really liked the discussion about how the earth naturally protects and cleans itself and how humans can take those natural processes and adapt them to our own society. Like how hairprint uses beetle's natural ability to shed dark shells and regrow the white skin into a new black shell like the original. ,

Not many big news companies have advertised about these greener products. NPR has three articles in total that even mention Dr.Bronner's name. The most recent article was about GMO labeling in 2013.,
I like the Think Dirty app better than the detox me app, it's easier to follow and use and correlates to the Skin Deep Database. It has the same rating system as the database and has ingredient lists along with what the ingredient means and does. ,
For budget 1 $3.89 if we take the to the copley stop there is a CVS a short walk away. There is also a walgreens a few blocks down the other way from the t stop.
If we get off at the hynes convention center stop there's a trader joe's where we could possibly get healthier greener options hopefully at a cheap price.,
Budget 2, $96.52 we can just do whatever we like with this kind of money. There's a MAC store near the boylston plaza for cosmetics, we can still go to trader joe's and get green options for soaps and hair products but now do not have to worry about whether we can afford it or not. ,
After reading into the Green Chemistry programs, maybe I should try that out as a future career path. I really want to help the earth but there's so many different ways to do that. Getting into green chemistry and trying to eliminate the waste that Americans produce could be a great place to get active in. )
